Fellrath and Bardaouil founded Art Reoriented, a curatorial platform based in Munich and New York that bridges modern and contemporary art through transnational perspectives. Their exhibitions—including Ways of Seeing, Surrealism in Egypt, and Walking Through Walls—have appeared at institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, Tate Liverpool, and Moderna Museet. Their work emphasizes inclusivity, narrative, and the dissolution of cultural boundaries.
Since 2022, Fellrath has co-led Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, transforming it into an active civic stage for contemporary art. Under his direction, the museum has adopted a “continuous state of becoming” ethos, staging large-scale installations, community programs, and partnerships such as the Chanel Culture Fund commission. This model champions accessibility, collaboration, and non-hierarchical institutional culture.
Fellrath’s international reach includes co-curating the 16th Lyon Biennale (Manifesto of Fragility, 2022) and the 59th Venice Biennale’s French Pavilion (Dreams Have No Titles, 2022). In 2025 he and Bardaouil curated the Taipei Biennial Whispers on the Horizon, expanding their exploration of art as empathy and care.
