Chloe Wyma
Chloe Wyma — She is Artforum's associate editor and a PhD candidate in art history at CUNY, not a practising curator. But her criticism demonstrates something rare in this list: genuine formal intelligence. She has written about Tanning's pictorial structure with real precision, she invokes Greenberg by name in her MoMA assessment, and she understands the difference between a painting's internal logic and its external occasion. She is the only name here who seems to have actually looked at paintings rather than organized communities around them. She cannot curate an exhibition — but she could write the essay that makes one necessary. Worth a conversation as a critical collaborator, not as a curator.
